Product description
This voluntary recall involves the "Hill Blazer" High Performance Metal Frame 3-Ski Snow Sled by ERA Group. The sled features a black frame with a braking system, three skis: 2 lateral skis which are blue and a central ski which is yellow containing an orange rope for transportation purposes, a yellow steering wheel and a blue seat.
The sled is intended for children 6 years and over. The complete dimensions of the sled are 120 x 51 x 38 centimetres. The recalled products can be identified by the model number 6598275 and the UPC 7-72421-99857-9.
Hazard identified
The coating on the black frame contains barium in excess of the allowable limit.
Some forms of barium are safely used in medical and commercial applications, while other forms of barium can be toxic, causing adverse health effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and cramps as well as more severe symptoms. Children's toys coated with paint containing barium in excess of the allowable limit are strictly prohibited in Canada.
Neither ERA Group nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or illnesses related to the use of this product in Canada.

Approximately 2,969 units of the recalled "Hill Blazer" 3-Ski sleds were sold across Canada.
Time period sold
