Hilary Duff Girls' Pyjama Set

Product description

This recall involves girls' two-piece Hilary Duff pyjama sets. The top is pink and blue and made of 100% cotton, while the bottom is pink and made of 100% polyester. The recalled pyjamas have style number HD6SB6 or HD6SB1, and CA12371.

The pyjama sets come in children's sizes 4, 5, 6, 6X, 7, S, M, L, and XL.

Hazard identified

The recalled sleepwear does not meet the design and flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.

Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body, resulting in shock and sometimes death.

Neither Health Canada nor Multiprint Tex Manufacturing Ltd. has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these pyjamas.

For more information, visit Health Canada's Children's Sleepwear Fact Sheet.

Number sold

Approximately 6,315 sets of the recalled pyjamas were sold at Giant Tiger, Zellers, Rossy, and Bargain Shop stores in Canada, and L'Aubainerie stores in Quebec.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from August 2006 to November 2010.
