Product description
This recall involves select shades of Healthy Makeup Eye Shadow, distributed by Avon Canada Inc. Seven shades are affected and are being recalled: Platinum, Rose Satin, Tigers Eye, Ice Mocha, Lilac Ice, Limestone and Violet Dusk.
The eye shadows come in a 7g tube and have a sponge brush applicator.
Hazard identified
Avon Canada Inc. is voluntarily recalling the shades Platinum, Rose Satin, Tigers Eye, Iced Mocha, Lilac Ice and Limestone for missing preservative ingredients. The lack of preservative poses a risk of eye irritation or eye infections.
The shade Violet Dusk is being voluntarily recalled because it contains an incorrect colour pigment ingredient.
Neither Health Canada nor Avon Canada Inc. has received any reports of incidents related to the use of these products.
Number sold
A total of 30,609 units of the recalled eye shadow products were sold by Avon representatives across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from July 2010 to November 2010.
Place of origin
