Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Head Canada Inc.
HEAD Ski and Snowboard Helmets
This recall involves six models of HEAD ski and snowboard helmets sold in a variety of helmet and chin strap colours from production lot December 2014.
HEAD, model name, size and "Production Code: DEC. 2014" are printed on a sticker that can be found by lifting the helmet lining above the right earpiece.
Helmets in size XS/S are not included in this recall.
The following helmets are included in this recall:
Model Name: Agent, Alia, Andor, Arise, Arosa, Avril
Colour: Black, Blue, Green, Turquoise, White, Yellow
Size: Medium/Large (M/L), Extra Large/Extra-Extra Large (XL/XXL)
The helmets do not comply with the impact requirements of safety standards for ski and snowboard helmets, posing a risk of a head injury in a fall.
Neither Health Canada nor HEAD Canada has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product. No incidents have been reported in the United States.
Approximately 187 recalled helmets were sold in Canada, and approximately 260 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from January 2015 to December 2015.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Taiwan.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Head Canada to receive a free replacement helmet.
For more information, consumers can contact Head Canada toll free 1-800-265-7257 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Consumers may also visit the company's website, click on "Customer Service" and then click on "2015 Helmet Recall" for more information.
Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website.
Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
