A field action is being initiated on L3000SM due to a shorter than expected life expectancy which may result in premature battery failure. Our engineers suspect 70% of the batteries from these serial numbers will fail prematurely post-autoclaving. The device does not pose a risk to health nor does it represent a violation of the Act. The reason for this recall is potential customer dissatisfaction.
