This recall involves two styles of girls' 2-piece sleepwear by Hatley. The sleepwear is made of 100% cotton. The style number and CA number can be found on the hang tag.

Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has identified that the recalled sleepwear does not meet the design and flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body, resulting in shock and sometimes death.
Neither Health Canada nor Hatley has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this sleepwear.

Number sold
Approximately 1,620 of the recalled sleepwear were sold at Hatley stores and various other retailers across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled tween lounge short sets were sold from January 2009 to June 2010, while the recalled toddlers' tank sets were sold from February 2007 to June 2010.
