Product description

This recall involves the pre-lit artificial Noble pine tree sold with white lights. The brand name is "Danson Décor" and the tree measures 1.98 m (6.5 feet) in height and 1.21 m (4 feet) in diameter. It is identified by product number 860335 and UPC 758440999346.

Hazard identified

Some trees may have been sold with a 12V adaptor, not a 5V adaptor as intended. When the 12V adaptor is used it can cause the lights to overheat, posing a fire hazard.

As of December 11, 2018, the company has received 6 reports of incidents and no reports of injuries.

Approximately 251 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from November 6 to November 15, 2018.

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should stop using the affected product and return the tree to the Giant Tiger store where it was purchased for a full refund.
