Issue

The swing should never be used for sleep and bedding materials should never be added to it. If the product is used for sleep or bedding material is added, the headrest and body support insert on the seat pad can increase the risk of suffocation.

As of October 7, 2024, the company has received 5 reports of deaths involving infants when the Fisher-Price Snuga Swing was used for sleep.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Fisher-Price Snuga Swing and remove the headrest (by cutting the tether) and the body support insert from the seat pad before continuing to use the product. Consumers may contact Mattel to receive a partial refund for the headrest and body support insert.

For more information, consumers can contact Mattel by telephone at 1-855-853-6224, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, from Monday to Friday or visit the company website.
