Product description

This recall involves extension cords with a model number EE6W or EE9W that come in different lengths. These products bear a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States and Canada, and have not been evaluated for safety by UL.

The counterfeit products have a label with a counterfeit UL Mark and the following information:

  • Cord Set
  • BX-3834
  • 13A
  • 125 V
  • 1625 W
  • E-233301

Hazard identified

The recalled extension cords have not been evaluated for Safety by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) and are not eligible to bear the UL Mark.

Number sold

The number of recalled products sold in Canada is not known.

Time period sold

The time period during which the recalled products were sold is not known.

The products are known to be sold at HD Supply Repair and Remodel stores, and may be sold by other retailers.
