The recalled products do not have the proper consumer chemical labelling required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. In addition, Jacquard Gutta Resist Solvent does not have the child-resistant packaging required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001.
The lack of child-resistant packaging and appropriate warning labels could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness, injury or death.
As of September 5, 2019, the company has not received any report(s) of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada.
