Product description

This recall involves the kids' upper outerwear with drawstrings at the neck/hood.  The style is written on the tag located at the back collar.  "Northern Souvenirs" is also displayed on the tag.  The products were customized with embroidery for various retailers.

The following products are included in the recall:

Hazard identified

Drawstrings on children's outerwear can become caught on playground equipment, fences or other objects and result in strangulation, or in the case of vehicles, in the child being dragged.

As of December 20, 2017, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 45,675 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

Products were sold from February 2013 to December 2017.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Pakistan.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the garment to eliminate the hazard.
