Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these boas do not meet the requirements for textile flammability under Canadian law.
If exposed to flame such as from candles, matches or lighters, the boas could catch fire and possibly cause burns to consumers.
The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits the manufacture, importation, advertisement or sale of a textile product that does not meet the requirements set out in the Textile Flammability Regulations and other applicable regulations under the Act.
As of December 19, 2017, the company received no reports of consumer incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.
Number sold
Approximately 2,834 of the recalled boas were sold at Gale’s Wholesale and Gale’s Wonderland establishments in Saskatchewan, and at Huff N Puff Party Stuff and It's My Party Shop Ltd in British Columbia.
Time period sold
The recalled boas were sold from October 2008 to December 2017.

What you should do
Consumers should not wear or allow their children to wear the recalled feather boas. The recalled feathered boas should be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
