Issue
Third-party testing of the glazed ceramic plates has determined that they contain lead in excess of allowable limits.
Lead is highly toxic, especially to children. A range of serious health effects have been associated with exposure to lead and cadmium, including anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, heart and immune system. In extreme cases, there have been deaths.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled glazed ceramic plates and contact Canadian Art Prints and Winn Devon Art Group Inc. for a refund and then destroy the product.
