Product description
This recall involves the Everyday Essentials black 30.5 centimetre (12 inch) non-stick fry pan with a black round plastic handle. The product was sold with the green Everyday Essentials label affixed on the pan which is removed prior to use. The item can be identified by UPC 5719700673. This recall notice is for the same product that was voluntary recalled and announced by Loblaw Companies Limited, on February 28, 2013.
Hazard identified
The handle could potentially come loose due to a manufacturing defect presenting a potential burn hazard to the user.
Neither Health Canada nor Loblaw Companies Ltd. have received any reports of injuries to Canadians related to the use of this non-stick fry pan.
Number sold
Approximately 2,400 units of the affected fry pans were sold at the following Loblaw banner stores across Canada:
Ontario: Fortinos, Loblaws, no frills, Real Canadian Wholesale Club, Real Canadian Superstore, Valu-mart, Your Independent Grocer, Zehrs
Atlantic: Cash & Carry, Real Canadian Wholesale Club, Dominion, no frills, Save Easy, Real Canadian Superstore

The affected products were sold from November 27, 2012 to February 28, 2013.

Consumers should immediately stop using the 30.5-centimetre (12-inch) non-stick fry pan and return the product to any Loblaw banner store where the customer service desk will provide a full refund (including without receipt).
