This recall involves Eppendorf MixMate Laboratory Plate and Tube Mixer that is identifiable by the serial number 08083.
Hazard identified
There is a potential burn risk when moisture enters the MixMate Laboratory Plate and Tube Mixer housing.
Neither Eppendorf Canada nor Health Canada is aware of any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 87 units of the affected MixMates were sold by Eppendorf Canada, Fisher Scientific Canada, and VWR Canada.
Time period sold
The affected MixMates were sold from 2006 to December 2010.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Germany.
