Product description
The recall involves the ECOXGEAR EcoBoulder Bluetooth Speakers. The speaker is black in colour, with a black colour accent around the front speaker and a matching rubber slip mat. The recalled products have model number GDI-EXBM901 and UPC 819127010348. The model number can be found on the inside door of the speaker’s storage compartment.
Hazard identified
The speaker's battery can overcharge and burst, posing fragmentation and injury hazards.
As of December 4, 2019, Lectron Radio Sales Ltd. has received no reports of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 672 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from September 2016 to January 2017.
