This recall involves E-Lumine compact fluorescent lamp (light bulbs). The word "E-Lumine" and the model number "EL-23W PAR38" can be found written on the lamp.
Hazard identified
The recalled devices are not certified to Canadian standards and have not been evaluated for safety hazards. The lamps may pose a safety hazard to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these lamps.
Number sold
Approximately 3,000 of the recalled products were sold across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were distributed in 2004.
