Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these lighters do not meet the Lighters Regulations in Canada and may pose a fire or burn hazard. Specifically, the lighters:
- May exhibit defects due to combustion of a component within the lighter barrel
- May continue to burn
- May exhibit incorrect labelling requirements for refillable lighters
As of May 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada.
