Double USB AC Adapter recalled due to electric shock and fire hazard
Summary
Immediately stop using the recalled product and contact the retailer to return the product for a refund, or dispose of the product in accordance with municipal electronic waste requirements.
Affected products
This recall involves Double USB AC Adapter, model LDT-3GI-B5. The affected product is a cube-shaped USB charger in white with a thin coloured layer at the edge of surface. The colour of layer is available in silver, blue, purple and red. The text “2.1 A and 1.0A” is printed on the USB port side of the product.
Issue
Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the affected product poses an unreasonable risk of electric shock and fire.
As of February 13, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product, and return it to the retailer they purchased the product from for a refund, or dispose of the product in accordance with municipal electronic waste requirements.
