Mean Green Super Strength 20 oz spray

Product description

This recall involves Mean Green Super Strength cleaning product sold in white plastic spray bottles and white or green plastic containers. The words “Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser” are on a label on the front and the UPC 720547001208 number is on the back. The recall involves products with date codes 4225, 4226, 4227, 4228, 4229 and 4230. The date code is printed below the label on the bottle.

Hazard identified

The products are labeled “Does not contain Ammonia.” The products may contain ammonia. The mislabelling of the bottles can pose a chemical exposure hazard to consumers. If ammonia is mixed with bleach or other household chemicals, irritating or toxic gases could be produced.

Neither Health Canada nor Dollar Tree Canada has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of Mean Green Super Strength Spray.

Number sold

Approximately 6,720 units that were sold at Dollar Tree locations in Canada may have included the recalled products.

Time period sold

The recalled product was sold from August 2014 to January 2015.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return them to Dollar Tree Canada for a full refund.
