John Deere Compact Utility Tractors
Product description
This recall involves John Deere model 1023E and 1025R compact utility tractors. A complete list of serial numbers included in this recall can be found at the firm's website. The compact utility tractors are green and yellow with “John Deere” and the model number printed on the hood of the tractor. The serial number is located on the right side of the frame by the front right tire.
Hazard identified
The rollover protective structure (ROPS) at the back of the tractor can loosen and fail to protect the operator in a rollover accident, posing a crash hazard that could result in serious injury or death.
As of December 8, 2017, Deere & Company has received no reports incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the Deere & Company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries.
Number sold
Approximately 380 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 3,300 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from March 2017 to October 2017 in Canada and the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in the United States.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled compact utility tractors and contact the nearest John Deere dealer to make arrangements to have the compact utility tractors repaired. This service will be performed at no cost to the customer.

Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website.
Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
