Product description
This recall involves 10 models of Currey & Company crystal or metal chandeliers. They were sold in various colours and measure approximately 53 centimetres (21 inches) wide and 140 centimetres (55 inches) high. The model name is on the exterior of the shipping carton. Item numbers are printed on a white label on the interior of the chandeliers' canopy.

Hazard identified
Defective wiring can conduct electricity to the chandeliers' metal parts, posing an electric shock hazard to consumers.
Neither Health Canada nor Currey & Company has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these chandeliers.

This recall involves approximately 100 units in Canada and approximately 2,100 units in the United States. The affected products were sold at home furnishing and lighting stores nationwide, and online at www.lightingdirect.com and Amazon.com.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from January 2010 to February 2013 in Canada and the United States.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chandeliers, turn off the chandelier's power supply and contact Currey & Company for instructions on how to obtain a free replacement chandelier, including shipping, or free repair of the chandelier by a licensed electrician.
