Product description
The recall involves Citrus Power Cleaner/Degreaser packaged in a 4 L bottle with a lot number 07118 and UPC 771355256502.
Hazard identified
The recalled product does not have the proper consumer chemical labelling required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
Citrus Power Cleaner/Degreaser is correctly labelled for workplace professional users, but the products lack the symbols and warnings required for consumer chemicals. The products were designed and labelled for professional/trade (GHS) requirements and may have been sold to commercial clients.
Health Canada has evidence of sale to consumers and this lack of labelling information, including appropriate warnings, could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness, injury or death.
As of February 12, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
