Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Crate and Barrel.
Finley Pendant Lights
This recall includes six Finley Pendant Lights. The products are hanging pendant lights with a white or wheat drum shade. The following products are affected and the SKU number can be found on a white label inside the ceiling plate.

The lighting identification labels used to identify polarity can fall off or be mislabeled making it difficult to determine the hot, neutral and ground wires, posing a fire and shock and hazard to consumers.
Crate and Barrel has received four reports defective lamps shorting out in the United States, resulting in minor property damage and a minor burn.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to use of these lights in Canada.
Approximately 864 units of the recalled lights were sold in Canada and approximately 19,000 units in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled lights were sold from January 2009 through July 2013 in Canada and the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should stop using the recalled lights immediately, and contact Crate and Barrel for a replacement lamp of equal value or a full refund, including shipping and $100 reimbursement for charges incurred in removing and replacing recalled lamps by using a licensed electrician.
