Product description

This recall involves capacitors that are marked (CT), as they bear a counterfeit UL Recognition Mark for the United States and Canada.

This counterfeit product is similar to a capacitor that is authorized to bear the UL Recognition Mark. Authorized capacitors are constructed with a green coloured case. Counterfeit capacitors are constructed with a yellow coloured case.

Hazard identified

The recalled capacitors have not been evaluated for safety by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) and are not eligible to bear the UL Mark.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these capacitors.
