Product description
This recall involves counterfeit AC adaptors that were sold with mist makers under the brand name Spirit Halloween on the Spirit Halloween website. Written on the packaging for the adaptor are the words Spirit and Mist Maker. The recalled adaptors can be identified by model number KA12A240120016U.
The model number, a counterfeit UL Mark, and the following information can be found on the label on the adaptor:
Input: 120V AC 60Hz 350mA
Output: 24V AC 1200mA

Hazard identified
The recalled adaptors bear a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States and Canada, and have not been evaluated for safety by the Underwriters Laboratories, Ltd. (UL). In addition, the plastic enclosure of the adaptor may separate into two halves, posing a risk of electric shock.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these AC adaptors.

The number of recalled products sold in Canada is not known. However, the products are known to have been sold with Spirit Halloween Mist Makers on the Spirit Halloween website.
