Health Canada is advising consumers that the Sabre Glue Gun may pose a safety hazard to users (e.g. burn, shock). The product has not been evaluated for safety against any Canadian standards and bears an unauthorized cUL (Canadian Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) certification mark. Approximately 2,000 of these affected glue guns were sold at Dollarama stores across Canada in 2012.
Products affected
Sabre brand glue guns with model number WR-D11 and an electrical rating of 110V/60Hz/10W. A UL file number E343639 appears on the label affixed to the glue gun, and on the bottom-left corner of the package insert.
What you should do
- Consumers should immediately stop using the Sabre Glue Gun and dispose of it following municipal waste guidelines.

Consumers who have purchased the Sabre Glue Gun.
