Product description
This recall involves Conair® clothing irons with detachable water tanks and the model number DPP1500C. The model number can be found printed below the soleplate.
Hazard identified
The clothing iron can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Conair Consumer Products Inc. has not received any reports of incidents or injury. However, Conair Corporation USA has received three reports of overheating including two fires resulting in property damage; no injuries were reported.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these irons.
Number sold
Approximately 2,700 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2005 to December 2008 at Sears Canada, London Drugs, and other stores across Canada.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
