Product description

This recall involves Coghlan's Plastic or Rubber Repair Kit that consists of the following three parts: metal rasp, green rubber patches and a white tube of vinyl plastic and rubber cement with green writings and a fill weight of 8.5g (0.3 oz). The recalled product can be identified by item number 860BP and UPC 056389008601.

Hazard identified

This recall was not initiated through the Health Canada's auditing process, but was done at the company's request to notify the public about the deficiencies associated with the hazard labelling requirements of the recalled product via the Health Canada Recall Site.

The product lacks the hazard symbol (skull and crossbones) and appropriate size of the "DANGER" signal word up to 1.8 mm in height. This lack of labelling information could to lead to serious risks.

Health Canada has not received any reports of illnesses or injuries related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 64,527 of the recalled products were sold at various retail stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from March 2006 to April 2011.
