Product description
This recall involves an electronic power assist system designed to be installed on bicycles. The system is comprised of three main components: a battery, an electric motor, and a controller.

Hazard identified
Water can enter the controller and cause it to accelerate unexpectedly posing a crash and injury hazard to the rider.
As of August 14, 2018 the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injury.
Number sold
Approximately 114 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from January 2017 to June 2018.
