Product description

This recall involves various children's pullover and zippered hooded sweat shirts with drawstrings sold under the brand name, "Junk Food". The "Junk Food" logo is sewn into the neck of the garment. These sweatshirts come in a variety of print designs and in children's sizes small, medium, large and extra-large.

The recalled sweatshirts can be identified by the following colours and style numbers

Hazard identified

The recalled hooded sweatshirts have drawstrings at the neck, which pose a strangulation hazard to children.

Neither Junk Food Clothing Co. nor Health Canada has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these hooded sweatshirts.

Number sold

Approximately 18 of the recalled hooded sweatshirts were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled hooded sweatshirts were sold from March 2007 to June 2009.
