Product description
This recall involves certain 2-piece pyjamas made by Paris Geneve. The top is a blue T-shirt with an image of a Disney Princess and the words 'Bayou Dreams' on it. The bottoms are blue pants with a dark blue butterfly design. This sleepwear is made of 100% cotton, and is available in sizes 4X, 5X, and 6X.
The tag inside the collar on the T-shirt has 'CA# 10611 / RN# 94006' and 'manufactured by Paris Geneve' on it.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has identified that the recalled sleepwear does not meet the design and flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body resulting in shock and sometimes death.
Neither Health Canada nor Paris Geneve Inc. has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this sleepwear.

Number sold
Approximately 690 units of the recalled sleepwear were sold at The Bargain Shop stores in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from March 2010 to July 2010.
