Product description
This recall involves the charging cases sold with Audio-Technica Wireless Headphones, model ATH-CK3TW. The recall applies only to the charging case and not to the headphones themselves.
The headphones and charging case were sold in a white or off-white box labeled "audio-technica Wireless Headphones ATH-CK3TW" bearing a picture of the product. The model name "ATH-CK3TW" is also shown on the rear of the charging case.
The colour-matched charging cases are made of plastic and were sold in black, blue, white and red colours. All colours of the charging cases are included in the recall.
Hazard identified
The portable charging case can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
As of April 20, 2021 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
The company reported that 2200 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from December 2019 to February 2021.
