Product description
This recall involves the following three models of pet dryers:
- Challengair 2000XL
- Challengair AirMax
- Challengair Extreme
The dryers have variable speed and two speed in black and blue.
Hazard identified
The recalled pet dryers are not certified to Canadian standards and have not been evaluated for safety hazards. They may pose a fire hazard to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 340 units of the recalled products were distributed at various pet stores across Canada.
Time period sold
From January 2005 to September 2010.
Place of origin
Manufactured in the United States.
