Product description
This recall involves Chadwick 5-drawer wooden chests in white and espresso sold at retailer, The Brick. The chests can be identified by the name "Hillsdale Furniture" printed on the back label. The model numbers are 1423-785 and 1030-785 and the Universal Product Code ("UPC") is 796995164697.
Hazard identified
The chests are unstable if the floor glides on the bottom of the legs are not centered and the units are not anchored to the wall with the tip restraint kit included in the original packaging or retrofitted with a counterweight, potentially posing a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that may result in death or injuries to children.
As of November 29, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States.
Number sold
Approximately 742 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 29, 258 units were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from December 2014 to March 2019.

What you should do
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled chests that are not properly anchored to the wall and place in an area that children cannot access. Contact The Brick to receive a free repair kit or refund.
