Product description
This recall involves 2 inch diverter valve caps that were sold with certain Master Spas "Twilight", "H2X Swim Spa" and "MP Signature Deep Swim Spas" hot tub and swim spa models.
The model names are printed on the control panel covers. The valve caps are included as a component part and are located under the diverter handle on the upper deck of the hot tub/swim spa above the water line.
Hazard identified
The diverter valve caps can become loose and pop off, posing an impact hazard to bystanders.
As of July 31, 2019, the company has received 112 reports of the diverter valve caps popping off in Canada and the United States, including 4 reports of consumers being struck by the cap with no injuries.
Number sold
Approximately 1023 of the affected caps were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from December 2017 to May 2019.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the hot tubs and swim spas with the recalled valve cap and contact Custom Molded Products or Master Spas to arrange for a free replacement cap.

Master Spas' customers can enter their spa serial number on the Master Spas website to determine if their spa is covered by the recall and order replacement parts.
