Product description
This recall involves À la Cuisine 2-liter electric glass kettles with the product order number 52925.

The product number and product order number are on the label located directly under the kettle and under the base of the kettle.
The product number, UPC and product order number are on the bottom of the product box.
Hazard identified
When the kettle is plugged in, the base of the kettle can overheat and the plastic on the electric cord can melt, posing injury or a fire hazard to users.
As of March 13, 2020, the company had received eight incident reports in which the kettle’s base has melted and one incident report in which there has been a kitchen fire. No injuries have been reported.

Approximately 6,318 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from November 2018 to March 2020.
