Product description
This recall involves ceiling mounted lighting fixtures that have three metal clips supporting a marbled glass dome. Either E27 base bulbs or CFL screw-in type bulbs can be used with these lighting fixtures. The recalled products can be identified by item numbers FM16PT or FM12PT, which can be found on a label on the rim of the glass dome.
Hazard identified
The lighting fixtures have not been evaluated for safety by the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) and are not eligible to bear the UL Mark for the United States and Canada.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these lighting fixtures.
Number sold
Approximately 800 of the recalled lighting fixtures were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The time period during which the recalled products were sold is not known. However, the product is known to have been distributed in 2008.
