Carrément Beau Raincoat recalled due to entanglement and vehicular dragging hazard
Summary
Immediately remove the drawstrings from both sides of the raincoat waistband, cutting and removing all cords, to eliminate the hazard.
Affected products
This recall involves the Carrément Beau Raincoat sold in navy, with two red and white front pockets with snap closure system. An interior label details the model number (Y16090) and the company’s identification number (RN: 113746, CA: 42203). The raincoat has a front zip closure and a fixed hood.
Issue
Drawstrings on children’s upper outerwear can become caught on playground equipment, fences, or other objects and result in strangulation, or in the case of a vehicle, the child being dragged.
As of January 18th, 2022, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product in Canada.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from both sides of the raincoat waistband, cutting and removing all cords, to eliminate the hazard. Consumers may return the item to the store of purchase for a refund.
