Product description

This recall involves the CANVAS Turner Bar Stool Set, 2-pc. The stool is black with a brown wooden seat.

The five-digit batch code is located on the sticker under the seat. It is formatted in DWWYY, where the first digit is the day of the week, the second and third digits are the week of the year, and the last two digits are the year.

Hazard identified

The seat could separate from the base while in use, posing a fall hazard.

As of March 31, 2020, the company has received 5 reports of the seat separating, with 4 reports of injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 32,728 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from July, 2015 to September, 2018.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products and return them to any Canadian Tire store for an exchange or refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
