Product description
This recall involves the AutoTrends Heated Seat Cushion. This product is used to heat seats in cars. The product features a padded seat that fits over vehicle seats and is secured with elastic bands. The product is powered by a cord that plugs into the 12 V plug.

The product can also be identified by its TSSA New Material Only tag having the model number indicated on it as well as TSSA regulation number: 07T-0337703.
Hazard identified
The seat cushion may overheat, posing risks of damage to the seat of the vehicle and in some cases, minor burns to the consumer.
Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these heaters.
Canadian Tire has received three reports of overheating. Minor burns were reported in one case.
Number sold
Approximately 25,527 units of the affected products were sold in Canadian Tire stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The affected units were sold from July 22, 2015 to March 8, 2016.
Place of origin

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the affected AutoTrends heated car seat cushion and return them to their local Canadian Tire store for a refund.
