Product description
This recall involves Bugaboo® Bee strollers, which were sold in blue, dark khaki, pink, red, yellow, and black options. The recalled strollers have the words "bugaboo® bee" printed on the left side of the seat. The strollers also have item code 51100, which can be found on the plastic support under the seat.
Hazard identified
One or both sides of the brakes can fail, causing the stroller to unexpectedly roll away on an incline and posing a risk of injury to the child occupant.
Bugaboo® has received 121 reports of the stroller's brakes failing, with no reported injuries.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 1000 of the recalled products were sold across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2007 to April 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Taiwan.
