L500 series fans
This recall involves L500 series fans sold under the Broan brand name. The model numbers or service part numbers are printed on a specification label which can be found on the unit's blower assembly.

The electrical motor in affected models can fail, posing a fire hazard.
Neither Health Canada nor Broan-NuTone has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to this product in Canada or in the United States.
Approximately 208 units were sold in Canada and 456 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The units were sold between February 10, 2016 and March 18, 2016.
Place of origin
Manufactured in the United States.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately turn off and un-plug the affected units, and contact Broan–NuTone for a free replacement.
