Product description
This recall involves the Blue Planet Soft White Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs, identified by product number 52-5120, 52-5121, 52-5124, 52-5128 and 52-5510 that also bear an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing of E320329 with a control number of 7G86. The product number, UL listing and control number can be found on the base of the bulb.
Hazard identified
It has been determined that the identified CFL bulbs are not authorized to bear the UL marking.
Neither Canadian Tire nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians regarding the use of these light bulbs.
Number sold
Approximately 26,960 units of the affected light bulbs were sold at Canadian Tire stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The affected light bulbs were sold from September 2010 to December 2011.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
