This recall involves Bily® Retractable Safety Gates, item number BG370018 and BG370200. The gates are available in white or black. The manufacturing date code label can be found at the bottom of the gate.

Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these products do not meet the Canadian safety requirements for expansion gates. Specifically, the surface coating applied on the metal tube of the gates contains barium in excess of allowable limits.
As of January 10, 2020, the company has received no report of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 26,108 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from June to December 2019.
