Product description

Product 1: Big Game Hunters Evermeadow Playhouse & Evermeadow Playhouse with Floor, Product Code 3283, UPC 5035874328306. The affected products were purchased and received prior to March 31, 2021.

The Evermeadow Playhouse is a children's outdoor playhouse made of untreated and unpainted natural wood. It has 2 windows and a door.The Evermeadow Playhouse was available with or without an optional floor and was packaged in brown cardboard packaging with Big Game Hunters branding.

Customers who purchased an Evermeadow Playhouse with a Floor received one Evermeadow box (product code and UPC noted above) along with a second box containing the floor.

Product 2: Big Game Hunters Café/Shop Playhouse and Café/Shop Playhouse with Floor, Product Code 381, UPC 5035874001483. The affected products were purchased and received between November 2020 and February 2021.

The Café/Shop Playhouse is a children's outdoor playhouse made of untreated and unpainted natural wood. It has open sides (windows) with ledges, chalkboard surfaces on the outer walls and a swing door on the back. The Café/Shop Playhouse was available with or without an optional floor and was packaged in brown cardboard packaging with Big Game Hunters branding.

Customers who purchased a Café/Shop Playhouse with a Floor received one Café/Shop box (product code and UPC noted above) along with a second box containing the floor.

Hazard identified

Testing performed at a third party accredited laboratory showed that the softer plastic in the middle of the plastic roof ridge, which connects the two sides of the wooden roof, is in excess of the allowable limits for DEHP as set out in the Phthalates Regulations.

As of June 1, 2021, the company has received no report(s) of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

The company reported that 234 units of the affected product were sold in Canada, 223 Evermeadow Playhouses and 11 Café/Shop Playhouses.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from August, 2019 to March, 2021.

Consumers should immediately remove the existing plastic roof ridge and contact DOM Sports for a replacement kit.
