Product description
This recall involves front forks on all models of the 2012 Tarmac SL4, 2013 Tarmac SL4, 2013 Crux, and 2013 Secteur Disc bicycles and framesets.
Hazard identified
The front fork steerer tube can break, posing a fall hazard.
Specialized has received 2 reports in the United States of the front fork steerer tube breaking, including one involving reported facial injuries and lacerations requiring stitches. Two instances were reported in Canada involving no injuries.
Health Canada has not received any report of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these bicycle forks.
Number sold
Approximately 664 units of the recalled forks were sold at authorized Specialized bicycle retailers in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2011 to January 2013.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop riding the bike and return it to an authorized Specialized retailer for inspection and, if appropriate, repair of the fork at no charge.
