Product description

The recall involves battery chargers sold with various Kidsquad Mudslinger 12V ride-on cars. The battery chargers are used to charge the ride-on cars. The chargers bear an unauthorized UL marking on the label which is found on the outside label of the charger.

Hazard identified

The battery chargers bear an unauthorized UL certification mark. It is unknown if the battery chargers are in compliance with the applicable safety standard.

As of August 14, 2019, the company has received 2 reports of incidents of the battery overheating in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 4,524 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from April 2018 to June 2018 and April 2019 to June 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled charger and contact Nothing But Deals Inc. for a free replacement.

For more information, consumers may call Kidsquad customer service at 519-880-8885 from Monday to Thursday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST and on Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by email.
