Product description
This recall involves a counterfeit version of the Ab Lounge that comes complete with instructional DVD / VCD, owner's manual, easy assembly instructions and workout guide / tracker. The counterfeit Ab Lounge is identified by: article # 3003415; UPC # 071174700003; item model # 165.
This recall does not include legitimate Ab Lounges distributed by Fitness Quest of Canton, Ohio. Fitness Quest, the exclusive world wide distributor of Ab Lounge, has determined that the Ab Lounge sold by Jysk is counterfeit.
Hazard identified
The recalled counterfeit product was designed in such a way that it can easily fold up for easy storage to save space for consumers. However, the product can suddenly snap, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
Health Canada and the Canadian retailer, JYSK Linen'n Furniture, have received one report of injury where the customer was collapsing the unit after use and severed the tip of their finger when the counterfeit unit closed abruptly.
Number sold
Approximately 255 counterfeit Ab Lounges were sold in Canada at JYSK stores in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Time period sold
The counterfeit Ab Lounges were sold from February 2008 to September 2008.

Consumers may return this unit immediately to any JYSK location for a refund.
