The model name is printed on the frame of the bicycle. Model year 2008 bicycles are not included in this recall.
Hazard identified
The frame on the bicycle might have been manufactured incorrectly.
A small number of the Trek model MT220 girls' bicycles were made with a frame that was welded incorrectly. If the frame breaks, you could be involved in a serious accident.
Trek has had 13 reports of welds breaking, including four minor injuries.

1028 units were sold in Canada.

What you should do
Refrain from riding the affected bicycle.
If you own an affected bicycle, it should not be ridden; take it to your Trek dealer. If your Trek dealer determines that your bicycle is subject to this recall, Trek will provide you with a replacement Trek MT220 girls' bicycle or a $100 credit applicable to the purchase of a Trek bicycle of your choice.
